Sometimes I run into people I went to high school with and I know them, know their name, know who they hung out with and pretty much their DNA ...'cept I don't say "hey" because I don't think they know me and I don't want to be the creepy stalker girl from high school.
And then I got to thinking, what if they really do know me and I don't say "hey" and they think I'm some stuck up girl who doesn't know anyone from high school.
What do I do? Say "hey" and risk them not knowing who the H I am, or don't say anything and have them think I'm a stuck up B.
Rough life.

iF THEY MAKE EYE CONTACT AND ACTUALLY SEE YOU YOU CANT ALWAYS SAY HI SO THEN ITS NOT TOO WEIRD. THEN THEY MIGHT KNOW ITS YOU AND START UP A CONVERSATION!! LOL I SAY HI TO RANDOM PEOPLE ALL THE TIME IF OUR EYES CATCH EACH OTHER, IT MAKES EVERYTHING NOT SO WEIRD
FYI... Everyone from highschool knows you. Even if they weren't in your grade... If they were in the school at the same time they know you. TRUST ME. People who don't know me... I say... I hung out with Callie Carter. & they say OH! Yah! You're like her best friend kind of huh? Or something... You knew her growing up? & I laugh. Because they are trying not to say... oh yah you were her tagalong right?

i was at the mall the other day and ran into a girl i went to grade school with... like K-8. we were in plays together, i babysat her sister, i know her parents. we're even "facebook friends."
we both did the eye-contact, look away as we walked directly at each other- then continued walking right on by.
i don't know what it is about some people where it's the "standard" to pretend to be complete strangers.
Haha Callie I always wondered about this!! I dont want to feel like a jerk. But I decided I will just say hi cause either they will think I am a nice stranger or they will remember me :) So either way it works out. And the chances of me running into them again is slim so even if they think I am crazy oh well!
ugh...I totally hate this too! it's like, hmm...even though i didn't hang out with you, i still know you..should i say hi? I usually don't unless we make eye contact, if not i like to ever so slightly show my bling in hopes they aren't married yet and kinda just be like ha ha you were popular and know your not! i am weird i know! ha ha
